Meiosis in France
Dec. 2026

From 2nd To 4th DECEMBER 2026

MONTPELLIER, Genopolys

The Meiosis In France (MiF-2026) workshop focuses on meiosis and the fundamental mechanisms underlying this reductional cell division, namely the transition from the diploid to the haploid state. It will cover the full range of molecular and cellular events involved in meiotic progression, the control of chromosome segregation, and consequently the formation of gametes and the transmission of genetic and epigenetic information across generations. Research on all model organisms, including plants, animals and fungi, will be represented. Topics will include cell cycle regulation, meiotic recombination, chromosome dynamics and movements, chromosome segregation, meiotic divisions, evolution of the meiotic program, and associated disorders such as aneuploidies and genomic rearrangements
